Recall on 2009 – 2012 Harley-Davidson bikes for faulty rear brakes and brake light

The Harley-Davidson safety recall number is 0145. The recalled bikes were manufactured between June 6, 2008 and Sept. 16, 2011.

Harley-Davidson will begin its safety recall on or around Oct. 31, and dealers will install a kit for the rear brake light switch for free. For more information, owners can call Harley-Davidson at 414-343-4056, or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit www.Safercar.gov.
